Managing Director

Stuart has been a cornerstone of our company since his early days in 1985, as a C & Fortran programmer, rising to Director in 2000. His decades of experience and leadership have been instrumental in guiding the company to its current position of strength and stability. Stuart's deep understanding of the business and his commitment to excellence continue to drive our success.

Stuart has a passion for whisky and enjoys holidaying in Scotland, where he can indulge in both the scenic beauty and the rich heritage of his favourite spirit. His appreciation of the finer things in life, combined with his dedication to the company, makes Stuart a respected and valued leader.

Alastair

Alastair Murray

Project Manager

Alastair has been a dedicated member of our programming team since 1998, bringing a strong analytical background with his BSc Hons in Mathematics from Durham University. His sharp problem-solving skills and methodical approach have made him an invaluable asset to the company.

Beyond work, Alastair has an impressive array of achievements. He was the Greater Manchester Fell Running Champion in 2010 and has a Rubik's Cube personal best of 59.79 seconds. A long-standing committee and life member of Horwich RMI Harriers & AC for over 20 years, Alastair is deeply involved in his local community. He also coaches the Adlington JFC U16 Sharks football team, where he shares his love of sports with the next generation.

Alastair's dedication, both in his professional and personal life, reflects his commitment to excellence in all his endeavours.

Rob

Rob Pomeroy

Security & Enterprise Architect

After obtaining a joint honours degree in Law and Computer Science, Rob went on to qualify as a solicitor and practised law for ten years. He managed the IT for his firm for the duration of his career, then moved from law into a formal IT position. With a growing interest in information security and compliance, he picked up CISSP and ISO 27001 certifications in 2017 and 2019 respectively. Rob joined Intech in 2020, bringing his broad technology interests and passion for solving problems, which together with a keen legal mind have led him to eject the word “impossible” from his vocabulary.

Rob is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, bass, drums and percussion. When not plucking or hitting things, he can often be found behind a camera. His primary hobby though is, and always will be, computing. It is his love of technology that fuels his passion for developing sophisticated, pragmatic solutions for Intech’s clients.

Robert

Robert Barnes

Web & App Developer

With a background in Electronic Engineering, Robert qualified with a first-class honours degree in Computer Science. He has worked as a programmer and web developer since 2001, starting with developing online site management tools and escrow account services for SMEs at a business incubation unit in the University of Manchester, before joining Intech in 2005.

Robert is too busy to have any interests outside of work.

Andy

Andy Ashcroft

Software Developer

Andy joined our team in 2006, bringing with him a degree in Software Development and a passion for creating innovative solutions. A bright and talented programmer, he is an integral part of our development team, with vast domain knowledge of our clients' systems. He contributes to a wide range of projects with expertise and dedication.

Outside work, Andy is an avid Formula 1 enthusiast and enjoys staying active through running. Whether he's tracking the latest F1 race or hitting the pavement for a run, Andy brings the same level of focus and commitment to everything he does.

Karen

Karen Murray

Software Developer

Karen has been with the company since 2000, bringing a strong analytical background with her degree in Mathematics and Statistics. Her expertise and attention to detail have been key to her long-standing success within the team.

Beyond work, Karen has led an inspiring life as a former international mountain runner and now channels her energy into giving back to the community. She runs a soup kitchen for the street homeless and also manages the busy life of being a taxi for her two children. Karen's dedication, professionally and personally, reflects her focus and drive to make a difference.

Paul

Paul

Software Developer

Paul has been an essential part of our development team since 1999, bringing a strong technical foundation from his BSc in Physics from Bristol University. His logical approach and keen problem-solving skills make him a highly valued member of the team.

In his free time, Paul enjoys hiking and exploring the great outdoors, as well as getting lost in a good book. His love for both nature and knowledge reflects his thoughtful and well-rounded approach to work and life.

Jonno

Jonathan (Jonno)

IT Support Specialist

Jonathan, known as Jonno to the team, joined the company in 2017 after a long tenure working with one of our clients from 2000 to 2017. With a background in Sports Science from Stockport College, Jonno transitioned into IT, where his technical expertise and problem-solving skills make him a key member of our support team.

Outside of his IT role, Jonno has a remarkable athletic history, having represented Great Britain at the 1990 World Sambo Championships in Moscow. His competitive spirit and drive are reflected in his work, where he consistently goes above and beyond to provide top-tier support to colleagues and clients alike.

Julie

Julie Worthington

Administration Manager

Julie joined the company in 2016 to take up the position of Administration Manager dealing with accounts payable and receivable processing, banking and quotations. She ensures that day-to-day operations run smoothly, supporting the office’s strategic goals, and contributing to a productive working environment.

Outside of the office Julie has a passion for motorcycles – although her riding days are over, she is still an avid follower of the Isle of Man TT having been a regular visitor to the event. She also loves to hike and enjoys the challenge of completing some of the countries highest mountains.
